On May 23, The Swedish Trade Association for Online Gambling – BOS – held a seminar to discuss the Dutch reregulation of the gambling market, and how more than half of the gambling market in the Netherlands is now illegal, according to their gambling authority KSA. What should Sweden do (and not do) to avoid ending up where the Netherlands is today?
- During the seminar, independent advisor Peter-Paul de Goeij presented the story of the Dutch disease in the gambling market. de Goeij has a background as director of the Dutch gaming industry association NOGA.
- The presentation was followed by a panel discussion about the way forward for the Swedish gambling market. The panel consisted of Madeleine Tügel, from the National Association of Gambling Addicts, Pontus Lindwall, CEO of Betsson, and Peter-Paul de Goeij, Quod Bonum.
